Raspberry Simple Syrup

Ingredients

Method

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • ½ oz (15ml) vodka (optional)
Bring the water to a boil in small saucepan, remove from heat and add your sugar, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved, roughly 5 minutes.
Add your raspberries and mash using your muddler. Let the mixture steep for at least 1 hour.
Strain the mixture into a glass container and add the vodka once cooled, this will increase the shelf-life of your simple syrup.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months if you did add vodka, and 1 month if you decided not to add any vodka.
